Raccoons are known as pest animals. This means that even though they might appear adorable and innocent on the surface they can wreak havoc in your home. Signs that you have a house guest
· The first clue that a raccoon may have invaded your home is strange sounds. They can get into any sort of narrow opening that is available to them. This means that they can be in your shed, attic or even your walls, so listen carefully.
· Raccoons aren’t overly careful and do not cover their tracks well. You might be able to follow footprints leading to the opening that they are using.
· There will be fur that has been shed or that has gotten snagged on something surrounding the area.
· Raccoon droppings are easily confused with that of a dog. If you do have dogs try and monitor where they are defecating to establish who is leaving the droppings.
